Urticaria
(commonly known as hives) are the itchy, swollen red bumps that appear
on the skin as a result of an allergic reaction. These umps that
appear on the skin as a result of an allergic reaction. These bumps
typically occur in clusters on the skin's surface and they can differ
in size. There are two types of hives- chronic and acute. Chronic
hives appear and disappear on the skin with no apparent cause. Acute
hives occur after being triggered by an infection or as a reaction to
food or medication.
